Give Me Shelter

The American people are suffering from battered woman syndrome. This psychological condition is due to abuse, usually at the hands of an intimate partner. In our case, our abuser is the President of the United States. The President has turned us into a nation of battered women. Battered men also exist, but gender is not the issue. No matter what gender you are, we are legally bound to him, as much as he is legally bound to us. The president is our Big Daddy, and in his hands, we are all being battered.

The Sad Plight of the OxyMorons

The dead man splayed on the sidewalk looks ready to be drawn and quartered like an angus cow. Cops are called to pick him up before his corpse starts to stink. One couple is huddled together on the ground in front of a doorway.  The woman lies on the top of the man and sticks a hypodermic needle into his lip. A young black boy, curled into fetal position, is passed-out under a sleeping bag. His baseball cap has fallen off his head and while he appears to be asleep, there is no way to tell if he’s dead, unless you want to touch him and no one wants to do that. Outside the parking garage, spoons, needles and matches are left on the ground like the remnants of a messy supper.  And this is the wealthy part of town.

Boys in the ‘Hood - Knifefight!

Anthony Scaramucci wants a knifefight! He talks tough and trashy but this dude has never been in a real knife fight.  Tough Street kids know that in a real knife fight everyone gets bloody.

Witch-Hunt!

The POTUS fired Sally Yates. He fired Preet Bhara. He fired James Comey. It's not hard to imagine that given the chance he would fire Robert Mueller. The POTUS claimed: he was being investigated for firing the FBI Director James Comey by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who told him to fire Comey. The POTUS erupted into a new fiery charge. “Witch Hunt!” he raged.

An Aria from Volkswagen – In 27 minutes

The longer you are put on hold by your phone service provider or your bank is a good indication of just how irrelevant you are—small time spender, low-net worth individual, big fat debtor, bad credit risk, slow to pay and quick to ire. The algorithms have got your phone number.  Get over it and get used to it. You’re a loser baby.

Being POTUS is a Real Job

Being President of the United States (POTUS) is a job. A great weight of responsibility accompanies the grandeur of this office. Historically, presidents choose their words very carefully because there are major ramifications to everything they say.  The reaction to presidential words ranges from hypersensitive to hysterical.  The words of the POTUS have enormous power and consequences—enough to seize up financial markets and rattle the hearts of trigger-happy dictators.

Message to Bed, Bath & Beyond: Free the PODS!

Hi! It's Media Bitch here! Did you know that mega chain store Bed, Bath & Beyond locks up its laundry and dishwashing soap PODS, so addicts and homeless people don't shoplift them? it seems as though  PODS can be turned into quick cash on the mean streets of downtown Seattle. See what happens when this couple unwittingly lingered too long in the PODS aisle.

The Launch of MEDIA BITCH!

Hey, it’s Media Bitch here! Check out my pic, warts and all. I’m the real deal. I’m here to tell your miserable story to the world. There’s a lot of talking going on about consumers losing their rights, or having no rights.  What happened with Dr. David Dao on United Airlines is a classic case of consumer rights gone wrong in extremis. And there is no doubt that Dr. Dao’s egregious mistreatment at the hands of airline officials will result in his receiving a HUGE financial settlement. But most consumer violations aren’t like that! Every day consumers suffer from slights, indignities, and injustices, but these stories rarely make the news because they aren’t sensational enough. Media Bitch is here to rescue you. Got a complaint that bites? Tell me about it!
