Terry Ward's method of coaching leverages the power of the spoken word by getting professionals to access who they are from the inside out so they can use their own natural style, abilities and unique attributes to deliver powerful messages that persuade, motivate and inspire. As a change agent and catalyst, Terry’s focus is on changing the way people and businesses communicate. His proprietary method, “State of Mind,” guides professionals to develop communications skills make powerful human connections with their audience. Many of the firm’s proprietary programs play an integral role in leadership and development programs in Fortune 1000 companies all over the world. Terry graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences and began his career as an advertising copywriter and account executive in Northern California. Terry developed his expertise through his many years of work in improvisational theatre where he worked as an actor, writer and a teacher. He was also a film and television writer in Los Angeles, and a playwright in the San Francisco area, where his critically acclaimed play "Bar None" was hailed as the longest running comedy in San Francisco. During his work as a writer in Hollywood, he became highly skilled at the fine art of pitching and realized that “pitching” was a critical component of everything we do in life from pitching ideas in business to pitching our loved ones in our personal lives. It all boils down to our power to persuade, inspire and motivate the person who is listening to us—this is the theme of Terry Ward’s new book
