Ashley Hoders DMD MSDDr. Ashley Hoders is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She earned her BA in Psychology, Biology, and Exercise Science at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she was also a Division I All-American Student-Athlete (Swimming). She then returned to Florida to attend the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned her dental degree, graduating with research honors and receiving awards for ethics and professionalism, periodontics, and prosthodontics. She went on to complete advanced training in general dentistry at the Baltimore College of Dentistry in Maryland. She then entered private practice in Ellicott City, Maryland, where she served the community by practicing family general dentistry.
Biography
Dr. Ashley Hoders is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She earned her BA in Psychology, Biology, and Exercise Science at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she was also a Division I All-American Student-Athlete (Swimming). She then returned to Florida to attend the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned her dental degree, graduating with research honors and receiving awards for ethics and professionalism, periodontics, and prosthodontics. She went on to complete advanced training in general dentistry at the Baltimore College of Dentistry in Maryland. She then entered private practice in Ellicott City, Maryland, where she served the community by practicing family general dentistry. She returned to school to pursue post-graduate training in both Periodontics and Prosthodontics. The University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio came to serve as her home for the next 5 years, where she became the sixth graduate and the first female to complete this dual specialty program, being awarded specialty certificates in both Periodontics and Prosthodontics. While in San Antonio, she earned a Master’s degree in the school of Biological Science and contributed to advancing the fields of both Periodontics and Prosthodontics with her research involving timing of implant placement and its influence on esthetic outcome over time.
