3rd Annual LGBTQS UNITED AS ONE RALLY Aug 18, 2018

Gay and straight leaders will rally on Saturday, August 18, 2018 to combat violence against the gay community in New York. Called the LGBTQS United As One Rally, this non-political event is being organized by the NYC LGBTQS Chamber of Commerce and the LGBTQS United as One Rally and Stratford Community Services and community leaders in the wake of devastating violence against the gay & straight community, The June 20 killing of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz sparked widespread community outrage over gang violence, on East 183rd Street and Bathgate Ave in the Bronx.

The unlawful imprisonment of the young people in NYC. The LGBTQS United As One Rally also comes on the heels of suicides by young LGBTQS people related to their sexuality and targeted violence against straight residents for “looking” gay. Also the women Latina are the most committing suicide as well. And the list goes on. We hoping with this year rally we can come together to unify us all for the sake of our people, this year theme is Faith+Hope+Love=Unity.

This year the SBS New York Broadcasting, La Mega and 93.1 Amor has join in partner with us to bring unity and empowerment to our community of color.

A few statement from our partners and speakers and artists from this year rally.

Mega 97.9 and 93.1 Amor unite to raise awareness against violence, bullying and harassment. As part of our mission we united with our community intend to shed light on how difficult it is for all of us to talk about issues that remain taboo, hidden and painful subjects. We as a society must start the conversation about these issues and bring them to an end. We united, will move forward to a healthier, safer, violence free NY.

Jesse Vega Rodriguez , Entertainer . The Reason why I’m joining this rally is because we as a community need to stand up on what right on protecting our families/children and peers from violence in are boroughs. If you see something say something and not live in fear. Fight back and motivate our children of the new generation to do good and not go towards the streets. Support and be there for one another and spread love.

Danay Escanaverino | CEO, LunaSolMedia, & Founder LatinaMeetup. LunaSol Media is honored to support the LGBTQ United As One Rally. We need much more of this kind of energy in the media and throughout our country.

Quin Miriam , Media photographer, I will be there to show support for everybody that has gone through one tragedy or another I have been bully from people that I never had expected from people that be showing in your face like they are all cool and just to find out later they were doing the bullying but at the same time they are the ones saying they were against bullying and just leave it at that..

Jose Ramon, Liberal Arts/Psychology Major. Door Control Specialist. Currently retired. Freelance Photographer.   I believe that creating platforms in our community where people can express themselves is vital. Everyone's voice matters and should be heard with respect and dignity. Bringing issues to light and awareness across the board in our community is the start of change that creates a new mindset full of hope. "Jose is our official photographer of our rally."

Frankie Allday, Recording artist Cause I'm a Hero for Humanity and I need to stand with my fellow Heroes so we can take back the future for our children!

Taina, Recording artist. Recently came out as a proud bisexual independent woman.. As an artist, Taina is dedicated to supporting Rev. Carmen & the LGBTQS community...

SixCentz Media Group is a supporter of many charitable organizations such as the LGBTQS community.. We believe that everyone is created equal & everyone's voice should be heard without discrimination..

Yannie Falcon, Recording artist and one of Rev Carmen Hernandez Community kid. The reason why I’m performing at the rally is because not only do I get to be around people who are true to themselves but also around people who don’t discriminate and believe that all lives matter. I’m young Latin artist who comes from a strict family with strong religious views on life. which is okay, everyone has their beliefs but what I’m trying to do at this rally is to be accepted, I’m not fighting I’m just trying to be heard and the same way I respect others beliefs and views at the end of the day we are still people who feel and just want to be accepted as people. I wanna show people who are against my sexual preference that I’m 100 percent human before any choice I make in life. Which means I watch tv like everyone, I work like everyone else, I pray but also I feel.

Lucy Rodriguez Rios , Recording Freestyle artist .  To come together to unite as one to try to stop the violence/bullying for our children/families to hopefully find positive solutions to save our streets hopefully there can be more programs created for kids to join so they can pass the time doing something positive with their lives. We all need to come together and take back what's ours!

Tym Moss Singer, Actor, Host of Radio TV and Stage & movie musical . There is power in numbers. When we stand together as a group, there is nothing we can't do. We will stand together against violence/ bullying/ negativity. We will conquer with love.

Appolonia Cruz , LGBTQS Events Producer, BxPrideFestival Director, Mcee, ShowGirl, Activist, Stylist, SouthBeach, she also has been our host in our rally. The more members our LGBTQS unite & come together?. Our voices will be heard louder & clear. This also goes to our younger generation who are looking at us through the sidelines. My message for them is "GET INVOLVED!" now!!

Michael Beltzer, Community Empowerment. I am joining Rev Carmen and LGBTQSA1 because while we see The Bronx has changed, it wasn't always as accepting of the love this rally brings. This is a reminder to put love for each other first.

Lillian Gre y, is a Freestyle, Dance, EDM and R&B recording artist .. We as a people must come together to protect our kids like they say ‘ It takes a village to raise a child’ we need to stop the guns stop the bullying and stop fighting each other no one should see color or race or even a lifestyle we are all human we all bleed red we need to understand each other so we can get through these issues together.
